What software do I need to view the webcast?
The minimum browser requirements needed to access this webcast are: Netscape 5 and above, Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and above, or Opera 7 and above. Javascript must be enabled Popup blocking mechanisms should be set to allow popups to be launched from BT pages. You will also need to have the following media player installed on your system: Microsoft Windows Media Player version 10 or above, available free from here
I have all the right software but I can only hear the audio?
Media player pluggins are sometimes not available if you have installed or upgraded your browser since installing your chosen media player. In this instance reinstalling the latest version of your preferred media player and restarting your computer can help. Alternativey make sure your media player is set to automatically download the proper audio and video coder/decoders (codecs):
1. Open Windows Media Player
2. Go to Tools/Options.. on the menu
3. On the Player tab, make sure the box for "Download codecs automatically" is checked
4. Click Ok
5. Try playing the video again and the proper codec should download.
My video and audio does not play smoothly?
Your bandwidth may be being used by another application (or another computer, if your connection is via a home/office network). Downloading large files or using peer-to-peer applications while watching video, for example, may prevent you from being able to receive enough data to maintain a constant video stream. If you do not believe your connection is being used by other applications or other people, check your media player has the correct bandwidth settings. See the following help pages for more advice. I keep on hearing about firewalls and webcasting being incompatible what can I do?
In order to view the live webcasts please ensure that your corporate firewall/router has the following ports open 1755 (mms) and 554 (rtsp)
These ports are open but I still cant see/hear anything?
This error can be caused due to a web filter being installed in order get round this please click on the "View via standalone player" link
